Online Finance Tools

There are many handy online finance tools from calculators of every type of loan at every rate of interest, to personal budget forms you can download, to government pages on handling money. If you are absolutely new to money management, start slowly, perhaps with the ‘jumpstart’ site just to get your feet wet. It takes a while to even understand basic terminology and beginners, especially mathphobes, can feel intimidated.

There is a lot of consumer-to-consumer help out there, too. The msn money site has a group called ‘Women in Red’, a self-help group trying to get themselves out of debt and sharing projects on the net. There is a ‘Women in Red’ message board with more than one hundred threads on various money issues, and you will read about situations similar to yours. Others can commiserate or share their related experiences and you can learn what other people have done in their situations. People will help all they can with advice, ideas, suggestions. What a wonderful way to share experience!

One really good place to learn about money is Wikipedia. The only danger is in being overwhelmed with good information.
